Our
Approach
USERTECH/Canterbury developed a computer-based training (CBT)
program that was one component in a comprehensive
training program. The CBT explains how
to sign on and off TradeWind, perform sales-related
transactions, run reports, and open and
close a store. It consists of a brief overview
of the TradeWind application, a navigational
section, instructional sections on the
selected transactions, and a self -check
for employees. An animated "tour guide" character
introduces the CBT and each main section.
Because of the CBT's modular design, users
can exit the CBT before they have completed
it and return to the last screen viewed
when they log back on. In addition, the
CBT Menu lists the sections in the preferred
sequence, but users can select the sections
in any order.
